Staying Legal

Every vehicle has a designated weight limit set by the manufacturer, known as the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM). Operating above this limit is illegal and can result in fines or even vehicle impoundment. Additionally, some roads have specific weight restrictions for bridges or safety reasons. Weighing your vehicle ensures you comply with all regulations and avoid hefty fines

Insurance Considerations

Many insurance policies have clauses that can become null and void if your vehicle is involved in an accident while overloaded. By exceeding weight limits, you could be putting your insurance coverage at risk in case of an accident.

Taking the time to weigh your vehicle before a trip is a simple step that can have a significant impact on your safety, legal compliance, and even your insurance coverage. It’s a small investment that can ensure a smooth, safe, and worry-free journey.
